Helicopter Trial Flights
Take a trial flight where you are firstly given a ground briefing on how the controls work, then fly with an experienced helicopter instructor. During the flight, you have the option to take control and experience the thrill of flying a helicopter. The
itinerary of a trial flight is flexible and may even allow you to view your own house from the air - don't forget your camera! Trial flight time counts towards your Private Pilot Licence qualification.
These flights are available throughout the year departing from Cumbernauld Airport. All flying is subject to the weather conditions. If it is unsuitable for flying on the day of your trial flight, we will inform you.
Robinson R22 Trial Flights
The Robinson R22 is a lightweight piston engine helicopter primarily used for pilot training but has also found success in other areas such as aerial photography, tuna spotting, law enforcement, cattle mustering and other commercial applications.
The R22 is capable of carrying a pilot plus one passenger.
Maximum weight limit: 17 Stone per person.
